New Year’s Eve Day – 2:45pm – 4:00pm
The parade will begin at the intersection of Elysian Fields Avenue and Decatur Street, then head up Decatur along the Mississippi River, then finish on Canal Street, near the Audubon Butterfly Garden, which is less than 4 miles from 1896 O’Malley House, and on the streetcar line!

2) opens in a new windowNew Year’s Rockin’ Eve at Jax Brewery
New Year’s Eve starting at 9pm – Midnight
Gather outside Jax Brewery to see live music performances at 9pm and 10:30pm, and enjoy fireworks and the countdown to the dropping of the Fleur de Lis. You can ride the streetcar to the corner of Canal at Decatur then walk a short distance to Jax.

New Year’s Eve, 9pm – 1am
For a more upscale and elegant night out, head to the WWII Museum’s Stage Door Canteen, for a 1940’s themed dance, which will include a bellini to start, followed by a four-course seated dinner with beer and wine, dancing to the sounds of the 40s with Spencer Racca, Dody Piper, and the Victory Swing Orchestra, and then finishing with a champagne toast and a midnight chocolate buffet. opens in a new windowTickets must be purchased in advance, and vintage glam is the dress code – no jeans!

5) Crescent Park for the Fireworks!
To finish, a free way to spend the evening – Crescent Park is open until 1am on New Year’s Eve for a great place to watch the fireworks on the River. If you’re still ready to party after, you can head to one of the hot spots in Bywater and Faubourg Marigny!
