The 2011 Swamp Fest will be held on November 5th and 6th at the Audubon Zoo, 6500 Magazine Street, in New Orleans.

Get ready for a toe tapping time of Zydeco music with live bands all weekend as well as dancing lessons.

The food is a main ingredient of the fest as well, with Cajun delicacies such as cochon du lait po’ boys, alligator sausage, cochon nachos, soft shell crabs, gunmbo- of course- and those fair favorites, deep fried Twinkies and Oreos.

In the Swamp Exhibit, watch animals being fed and interact in the habitat, and enjoy a petting zoo.

Admission is free to Zoo Members, and the cost of the Festival is covered in Zoo admission for non-members.
