Continue the NOLA Tradition: Celebration in the Oaks in 2013

Get in the Holiday spirit during your stay at 1896 O’Malley House Bed & Breakfast with a visit to the Celebration in the Oaks in City Park from November 29, 2013 to January 4, 2014.  Hundreds of thousands of white lights will dazzle you as they twinkle and light up the 13 gated acres of the oak groves and the rest of the landscape.

This is a New Orleans tradition, beloved by natives and visitors alike.  There is something for everyone here including an amusement park with a carousel and train rides.  You won’t want to miss the Cajun Night Before Christmas display as well as Mr. Bingle: a favorite New Orleans snowman.  (This photo of Mr. Bingle is from 2008 and was featured in The Times-Picayune)

Enjoy this holiday display from Thanksgiving through January 4th (closed 12/24-12/31)

Admission is $8 per person – children under 3 and friends of City Park are free.  The train ride is $4 and amusement park rides are $3/single ride or $17/unlimited.

Pets are not allowed, and visitors under 18 should be accompanied by an adult 21 or older.

City Park has recently added 300 parking spaces right across from the Botanical Gardens.  This is conveniently located close to the entrance to Celebration in the Oaks.  Click here for a map and parking information.
