Freret Street Festival – New Orleans 2013

Enjoy a favorite New Orleans festival when you stay at 1896 O’Malley House Bed & Breakfast over the first weekend in April.  On April 6 from Noon-6 pm, check out the Freret Street Festival.  This popular, annual festival features 200 vendors including delicious local flavors and hand-made arts & crafts created by New Orleans artisans.  These vendors will show you what makes New Orleans so special.

What’s a New Orleans festival without music?  The Freret Street Festival features 4 musical stages with artists performing back-to-back during the entire time of the festival.  Check out artists such as Creole String Beans, Johnny Sketch & the Dirty Notes, Wild Magnolias, Bourbon Brass…and so much more!

Guests will find additional activities to fill their time with the parades, kid’s activity area, and cats and dogs looking for forever homes.

This festival is an awesome way to spend a Saturday afternoon!  Find it on Freret St. between Napoleon and Jefferson.  Then come back in the evening, ready to relax and recharge in our inn.

See you soon!
