Superbowl New Orleans to do list!!!

If you’re in New Orleans for the Super Bowl, you’re in for an amazing time! This vibrant city offers so much more than just the big game. Here’s a to-do list to make the most of your Super Bowl weekend:

1. Check Out the Super Bowl Events

  • NFL Experience: A fan interactive event usually held in the lead-up to the game. Expect activities, games, and meet-and-greets.
  • Super Bowl Parties: Many bars and hotels throw amazing Super Bowl parties. Check out The Frenchmen Street area for live music and fun, or The Roosevelt for a more upscale event.

2. Explore the French Quarter

  • Jackson Square: Check out this iconic square and the surrounding historic buildings, including St. Louis Cathedral.
  • Bourbon Street: While it can be a bit touristy, it’s still an essential experience with its vibrant nightlife.
  • Cafe du Monde: Grab some iconic beignets and a café au lait while people-watching.

3. Eat Your Way Through the City

  • Po’boys: Grab one from Domilise’s or Johnny’s Po-Boys.
  • Gumbo: Try a bowl at Dooky Chase’s or The Gumbo Shop.
  • Muffulettas: The famous sandwich can be found at Central Grocery.

5. Catch a Mardi Gras Parade

  • Depending on when you’re in town, the Mardi Gras parades might be rolling through. Even if it’s not Mardi Gras day, the Krewe of Barkus or Krewe of Iris are fun parades to check out!

6. Hit the Museums

  • National WWII Museum: A must-see for history buffs.
  • New Orleans Museum of Art (NOMA): Located in City Park, it’s home to a great collection of fine art.
  • The Cabildo: Dive into Louisiana’s fascinating history.

7. Get on the Water

  • Steamboat Natchez: Take a cruise along the Mississippi River for stunning views of the city skyline.
  • Paddle or kayak in Bayou St. John: If you’re into more active adventures, rent a kayak or paddleboard and enjoy the scenic waterways.
