Satchmo Fest

Satchmo Fest is devoted to the music of a native son of New Orleans, Louis Armstrong.  A gratis community event, which is presented each year in August by French Quarter Festivals, Inc. in the historic French Quarter neighborhood.  Drawing in locals as well as international visitors, the festival  celebrates the legacy of this native son during the weekend close to his birthday.

Satchmo SummerFest features live music at Louisiana State Museum’s Old U.S. Mint across four stages.

Don’t forget to reserve your rooms at 1896 O’Malley House so that you can easily reach the French Quarter on the Canal Streetcar line, which runs right by our inn.
