Southern Decadence – August 28, 2013 – September 2, 2013

A very adult party known as Southern Decadence takes place each Labor Day weekend in New Orleans. Consisting of parties, dancing, risque contests, and of course, the big parades, Southern Decadence is a world-famous event attended by thousands every year.

Decadence starts this year at midnight on August 28th with a party at The Bourbon Pub, then continues right through the weekend, including (among other things) a float parade on Friday, a free outdoor concert on Bourbon Street on Saturday, and the Southern Decadence Parade at 2pm on Sunday, ending with the Closing Party on Monday, right back where it began.

Weekend Passes may still be purchased online HERE, but VIP passes are all sold out. You are encouraged to purchase your passes online, as you not only will save a bit of money, but also can use credit cards, whereas the nightly events accept cash only.

Why not stay with us at 1896 O’Malley House and avoid the big hotel crowds. Park your car here and take the Streetcar wherever you need to go. Sleep in a comfortable bed and have a good breakfast before venturing out into the excitement of Southern Decadence.
